Product Overview

TriVitro VitroClean Aquatic Glass Filter Media is engineered to replace conventional filter sand with a more efficient filtration media. Its angular, sub-angular glass particles provide excellent porosity and permeability, allowing water to flow efficiently while capturing fine contaminants. Because the glass is amorphous and free of grain boundaries, it resists breakdown during repeated filtration and backwash cycles, contributing to extended service life.

Glass media is approximately 15–20% lighter than silica sand, so less media is typically required to fill the same filter. It is compatible with most major pool filter manufacturers and is an excellent choice for facilities seeking improved water clarity, reduced maintenance, and long-term operating efficiency. Verify your filter manufacturer's recommended media quantity before installation.
