The Pentair 011075 IntelliFlo3 VSF 3.0 HP is the base 3 HP model in the IntelliFlo3 line. The extra horsepower is there for pools with real head pressure to overcome, such as spa jets, tall water features, long plumbing runs or in-floor cleaning systems. Frequently Asked Questions

How do the 3 HP IntelliFlo3 part numbers differ?

The 011075 is the base 3 HP pump. The 011076 adds the relay board, the 011077 adds the touchscreen, and the 011078 includes both. The pump and hydraulics are the same across all four.

Does the 011075 run on 115V?

No. Unlike the 1.5 HP models, the 3 HP version is 208-230V only, drawing 12.4 to 11.2 full load amps. Confirm your supply before ordering.

Do I actually need 3 HP?

Only if your system demands it. Spa jets, tall water features, long or undersized plumbing runs and in-floor cleaning systems all raise head pressure. A standard pool doing plain filtration is usually better served by the 1.5 HP 011065 family, which is also more efficient at WEF 9.4.

Why is the WEF lower than the 1.5 HP model?

Larger pumps move more water but use disproportionately more energy doing it, so their efficiency figure is lower. That is expected and does not mean the 3 HP is a poor performer, only that you should not buy more pump than your system needs.

What plumbing sizes does it accept?

2" x 2", 2.5" x 2.5" or 3" x 3" NPT ports, with the upper and lower union kit supplied.

Can I add a touchscreen to this pump?

Yes, with the Pentair 356159Z universal touchscreen add-on, or the 356365Z relay board kit. If you know you want either, the factory-fitted 011077 or 011078 usually works out cheaper.

How much does it weigh?

55 lbs, so plan on a second pair of hands for the install and make sure your pad is level and rigid.

Does it work with my existing Pentair automation?

Yes. It integrates with Pentair automation systems, and WiFi and Bluetooth are built in for the Pentair Home app if you have no automation panel.
