The Pentair 011068 IntelliFlo3 VSF is the fully equipped 1.5 HP model in the IntelliFlo3 line. It ships with both the touchscreen interface and the I/O relay board fitted, which is what separates it from the 011065 base model and the 011067 touchscreen-only version. Built-in sensorless flow control holds a target flow rate rather than a fixed speed, so circulation stays consistent as your filter loads up.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the 011065, 011066, 011067 and 011068?

All four are the 1.5 HP IntelliFlo3 VSF. The 011065 is the base pump. The 011066 adds the relay board. The 011067 adds the touchscreen. The 011068, this model, includes both the touchscreen and the relay board. Same hydraulics and same motor across all four.

Do I need the touchscreen if I already have Pentair automation?

Not strictly. If you run IntelliCenter or EasyTouch, the pump is controlled from there. The touchscreen is most useful when you have no automation, or when you want to adjust the pump at the pad without pulling out a phone.

What does the I/O relay board actually do?

It provides two relays so the pump can switch other equipment, letting the pump act as a simple controller for a light or a booster without a separate automation panel.

Can I add the touchscreen or relay board later?

Yes. Pentair sells the 356159Z universal touchscreen add-on and the 356365Z universal relay board kit. Buying the 011068 up front is usually cheaper than buying the base pump and adding both.

Is 1.5 HP enough for my pool?

For most standard residential pools on normal filtration, yes. Choose the 3 HP 011075 family if you have spa jets, tall water features, a long plumbing run or an in-floor cleaning system, since those need more head pressure.

Can it run on 115V?

Yes. This model accepts 115V or 208-230V, drawing 12 amps at 115V and 6.4 to 5.9 amps at 208-230V. Wiring must be done by a qualified electrician to the voltage you choose.

What plumbing does it connect to?

The pump takes 1.5" x 1.5" or 2" x 2" NPT ports, and the upper and lower union kit is supplied in the box.

What does WEF 9.4 mean?

Weighted Energy Factor measures gallons moved per watt-hour, and higher is better. At 9.4 the 1.5 HP IntelliFlo3 is more efficient than the 3 HP model's 7.1, which is normal since smaller pumps do more work per watt.
