The J&J Electronics ColorSplash XG-W 300 is a color changing LED pool light built to replace an aging incandescent fixture without recutting your niche. It drops into most standard large wet niches from Pentair, Hayward, and Jandy in gunite, vinyl, and fiberglass pools, and runs on 120V off a standard pool light switch. The XG-W adds a dedicated white LED circuit that the standard XG does not have. That gives you a clean, bright white on its own channel instead of a white mixed from red, green, and blue, so the water looks natural when you want plain light and saturated when you want color. Output is 1,500 lumens in white, roughly matching a 300 watt incandescent while drawing a fraction of the power.

Five solid colors and seven light shows are selected by cycling the pool light switch, or you can wire it into a J&J XG Controller or most Pentair and Jandy automation systems for one touch show selection. Will this fit my existing Pentair or Hayward niche?

In most cases yes. The XG-W 300 is built to drop into standard large wet niches from Pentair, Hayward, and Jandy. Measure your niche opening before ordering, since older and specialty niches such as SwimQuip take a different faceplate.

Can I use this to replace a Pentair IntelliBrite?

It fits the same niche and does the same job, but it is a J&J fixture, not a Pentair part. Color shows and automation behavior differ from IntelliBrite. If you are matching an existing IntelliBrite in a second niche and want the shows to sync, buy the matching Pentair fixture instead.

What is the difference between XG and XG-W?

The XG-W has a separate white LED circuit. The standard XG creates white by blending colored LEDs, which reads slightly tinted. If plain white light matters to you, the XG-W is the one to buy.

Do I need a controller?

Is 300 watts the actual power draw?

No. 300 watts is the incandescent equivalent. The LED draws far less while producing 1,500 lumens in white, which is where the energy savings come from.

Will it match my other pool light?

It synchronizes with other ColorSplash XG, XG-W, LXG, and LXG-W fixtures. It will not sync with other manufacturers' color lights.

Can I install this myself?
