The Jandy RS-PS16 is the AquaLink RS16 pool and spa control system at the system level. It is built for pool and spa combinations that share one set of equipment, and it controls your filter pump, your heater, and up to sixteen auxiliary circuits. That circuit count is what separates it from the smaller RS systems: it is the one you reach for on a backyard with multiple water features, extensive landscape lighting, a cleaner, jets, solar, and a sanitizer all running off the same pad.

Read this before ordering. Jandy builds AquaLink RS systems a-la-carte, and this is the system level package. The box contains the power center PCB, the firmware CPU, the plastic bezel, temperature sensors, the necessary 3 HP relays, JVA valve actuators, and the owners and installation manuals. It does not include a power center enclosure, a wireless remote, or an iAquaLink web connect module. To finish a working system you also need a power center sized to your circuit count and a control interface such as an AquaLink RS OneTouch, an All Button panel, or an iAquaLink device.

The RS16 handles the dual body logic that makes a shared equipment pad work. It drives the JVAs to switch flow between pool and spa, manages heater setpoints separately for each body, and runs freeze protection so a cold snap does not cost you a pump or a heat exchanger. Seasonal adjust modifies your schedules through the year instead of running summer runtimes in December.

Everything is programmable into one touch macros, so a single button can put the system into spa mode, fire the heater, switch the valves, and set the lights. It integrates with home automation systems, and with an iAquaLink interface added you get control from a phone or tablet anywhere.

Is this a complete, ready to install system?

No, and this is the most important thing to know. This is the system level package: PCB, CPU, bezel, relays, sensors, and JVAs. You still need a power center enclosure and a control interface. Confirm what you already have on the wall before ordering.

Does it include a wireless remote or web connect module?

No. The box contents are listed above and do not include a remote or an iAquaLink transceiver. Those are ordered separately and added to the system.

What is the difference between RS-PS16 and RS-PS8?

Circuit count. The RS-PS8 covers eight auxiliary circuits, the RS-PS16 covers sixteen. The hardware family is otherwise the same, and the CPU board sets the count.

What does the PS mean?

Pool and spa combination, for a pool and spa sharing one set of equipment. A pool only or spa only build uses the P version, which does not include the JVAs or the dual body logic.

Do I have to use all sixteen circuits?

No. Install only the relays you need now and add the rest later as you add equipment.

Can I control it from my phone?

Yes, once an iAquaLink interface is added to the system. The RS-PS16 by itself does not include the internet transceiver.

Does it protect against freezing?

Yes. Freeze protection runs the pump and can shut down equipment automatically when temperatures drop, which is standard on AquaLink RS.

Will it run a variable speed pump and a salt system?

Yes. AquaLink RS integrates with variable speed pump control and with Jandy salt chlorination equipment.

Can I install this myself?

This is high voltage equipment wired at the pad, and the JVAs mount on your plumbing. Installation should be done by a licensed electrician or a qualified pool professional, and local electrical code applies.

Will it work with my existing Jandy valves?

The included JVAs mount on Jandy NeverLube valves such as the 4715 and 4717. If your valves are another brand, check actuator fit before ordering.
