The Jandy X-Series X500 AOP System is the largest in-line advanced oxidation sanitizer in the X-Series, pairing UV-C light with three corona discharge ozone cells in one full flow unit. The combination makes hydroxyl radicals that break down oils, sweat, chloramines and organics chlorine leaves behind. Rated for pools up to 50,000 gallons at 50 GPM, it runs on 240 volts and installs with two unions and three wires. Powered by DEL technology, and the replacement for the DEL Ozone SEC-100-26 and SEC-110-26.

Key Features

  • UV-C plus ozone in one unit: a low pressure, high output 254 nm UV-C lamp and three corona discharge ozone cells producing 500 mg/h.
  • 22x the oxidation output of comparable AOP systems, per Jandy.
  • Cuts chlorine demand: contaminants are destroyed on contact, so more free chlorine stays available and chloramine odor, eye sting and dry skin drop.
  • NSF/ANSI/CAN 50 certified as a supplemental sanitizer with 99.9 percent reduction of Enterococcus faecium and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. UL listed for US and Canada.
  • Full flow in-line design: 2 in PVC unions on inlet and outlet, no bypass loop or venturi required.
  • Plug and play install: ozone generator and UV chamber come pre-plumbed and pre-wired in one cabinet.
  • Low power draw: 144 W at 240 VAC.
  • 16,000 hour UV-C lamp life and roughly 5 year ozone cell life.
  • NEMA 3 enclosure: indoor or outdoor, floor or wall mount, rated to Florida wind code category 1.
  • Works with any primary sanitizer: Jandy TruClear, TruClear XL, TruChlor or a standard chlorine feeder.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this replace chlorine?

No. AOP is a supplemental sanitizer. You still need a primary residual sanitizer such as a salt chlorine generator or a chlorine feeder, but you will use much less of it.

What is the difference between the X200, X350 and X500?

Pool size and ozone output. X200 covers 25,000 gal at 200 mg/h, X350 covers 40,000 gal at 350 mg/h, X500 covers 50,000 gal at 500 mg/h. Pick the one rated above your pool volume.

Is this the same as the DEL AOP 50?

Yes. The X500 is the Jandy branded successor to the DEL Ozone SEC-100-26 and SEC-110-26 AOP 50 systems, with the same DEL ozone and UV technology.

Does it run on 110V?

No. The X500 is 240 VAC only. The X200 and X350 are dual voltage.

Do I need the mixing degas vessel?

The JMDVIN is required on indoor and covered pools to strip residual ozone before water returns to the pool. On outdoor pools it is optional.

Will it work with my pump?

Yes, as long as flow through the unit stays at or above 50 GPM during the sanitizing cycle. Variable speed pumps should run at a speed that holds that flow while the AOP is on.

How often do I replace the lamp?

The UV-C lamp is rated 16,000 hours, which is 3 to 4 seasons at typical run times. Ozone cells last about 5 years.

Who should install it?

A licensed electrician or qualified pool professional. It is a 240 VAC line voltage appliance and must be bonded and wired to code.

What is the warranty?

Jandy manufacturer warranty. Register the system with Fluidra after installation and keep your receipt.
