ԱՊՐԱՆՔԻ ՈՒՂԵՑՈՒՅՑ

The Jandy TRUCLEARPS is the TruClear XL Smart Power Pack, the control unit that runs a TruClear XL salt chlorination system. It converts incoming AC power into the low voltage DC the cell needs to make chlorine from dissolved salt, and it handles all the intelligence: output level, temperature compensation, flow detection, and cell authentication.

This is the power pack only. The TruClear XL cell is a separate purchase, and the two are not optional for each other. The XL cell will not operate on any other power pack, and this power pack is built for the XL cell. If your existing TruClear XL cell is fine and the controller failed, this is the part you need. If you are building a complete system, you need both.

Two features separate the XL from the older TruClear. Temperature compensation adjusts chlorine production based on water temperature, which protects cell life instead of running the plates hard in cold water where they wear faster. Dual gas traps handle flow detection, shutting down generation when circulation is insufficient rather than letting the cell run dry and build up gas.

It works at low flow rates, so it pairs properly with a variable speed pump running on a low overnight schedule. The housing is weather resistant for equipment pad mounting. Connect it to an AquaLink automation system over RS-485 and you get full control from the iAquaLink app.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this include the salt cell?

No. This is the power pack only. You need a TruClear XL cell to complete the system, and it is sold separately.

Will it work with my older TruClear cell?

No. The Smart Power Pack is built for the TruClear XL cell. Older TruClear systems use the R0802200 power pack instead. Check which system you have before ordering.

Can I use a non-Jandy replacement cell with it?

No. The XL system uses cell authentication, so aftermarket or clone cells will not run on it.

I have an AquaPure system. Can I switch to TruClear XL?

Yes. A TruClear XL cell installs as a drop-in retrofit using the existing AquaPure union tailpieces, so the plumbing stays. You need this power pack and an XL cell.

What salt level does it need?

3,000 PPM. Test before startup and after any large water addition.

Does it work with a variable speed pump?

Yes. It operates at low flow rates, which is what makes it usable on a variable speed pump running slow overnight cycles.

Can I control it from my phone?

Yes, when connected to an AquaLink automation system. It links over RS-485 and then runs through the iAquaLink app.

What does temperature compensation actually do?

It adjusts chlorine production based on water temperature. Running a cell at full output in cold water shortens its life, so the power pack scales production instead.

Can I install this myself?

This is a hard wired electrical component mounted at the equipment pad. Installation should be done by a licensed electrician or a qualified pool professional, and local electrical code applies. It should be wired on the same circuit as the filter pump so the cell cannot run in a no-flow condition.
